What is India First Foundation (IFF)?
The India First Foundation (IFF) is a Mumbai based Registered Trust (Registration no. E-22 704 (MUMBAI) dt. 30-6-2005) established to provide comprehensive education to students of India and abroad to assimilate the concept of “Unity in Diversity” and the Indian ideal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (entire world as our family).”

Why IFF?
As a result of the ever-changing scientific and technological advancements, the world today became a global village. Educator express the potential dangers to the human life as a result of the erosion of social and universal values since the material development in the World is significant. The India First Foundation wishes to make a humble contribution to the well being of the global community by promoting education on the bedrock of strong universal value systems.

Every child is a born genius, IFF will provide environment to facilitate your child become real genius.

In defining true learning, child psychologists underline the importance of creating the right type of environment for children to learn instead of merely tutoring them. IFF has firm conviction in this principle. When the present education, in the background of commercialization, is mostly treated as a commodity for creating careers, formation of the India First Foundation is humble beginning to promote education that not only makes the learners successful in their studies and career but turn them out as good human beings too.

Our Value System
Developing the concept of the World as one family, building bridges not barriers, thinking beyond regionalism, etc., are some of the underlying principle of the India First Foundation. When there is ample scope for manifesting the true spirit of individuals, in the current scenario one prefers to practice and uphold his/her own language, culture, region etc. IFF is committed to do away with these limiting factors by inculcating the value of oneness in children at the very tender age of 5/8 years, when the minds are unbiased. As teachers play a vital role in shaping the destiny of the nation, the IFF is also determined to prepare teachers with compassion and competence to prepare the right type of learners to face the challenges of the future.

How IFF will translate its core values?
The IFF is in the process of establishing a residential school, a teacher preparation institute, extension services, and continuing education facilities.

IFF Residential School:
IFF will start a high quality, value oriented co-educational residential school for classes 1 to 10 at Karjat, Maharashtra, India in near future. The important features of the school will be as follows:

• Academically competent, devoted & motivated teachers who imbibe in them the Indian ethos and universal values.
• Admission of students from all states of India and the world to facilitate cultural interface.
• ICSE (Indian Council for Secondary Education) curriculum with student centered learning opportunities
• World class libraries, laboratories, sports activities, and hostels for boys and girls
• Art of living, Personality development, and leadership training, for the students.
• Excellent support systems including health, safety and security, and office managements.
• Learner-friendly teaching materials and creativity training.
• Yoga, meditation, environmental education, sports, and adventurous activities.
• Nurturing family values through parent support programmes.

Unique features of learning in the IFF Residential School:

• Curriculum and other activities of the residential school will be finalised keeping in mind the vision and objectives of IFF with heterogeneous class of students.
• For cultural interface symbolic presence of universally followed religions will be displayed in the school campus.
• School will have 5 days learning with two rest days to be utilized for outings.
• Children will be allowed to go home on the last Friday of the month, and the following Saturday and Sunday.
• During vacations, children can take part in projects such as cultural camps, rural and community living activities.etc.
• Universal values will form an integral part of all scholastic and non-scholastic activities
• Art of listening, which is neglected worldwide, will get a thrust in the curriculum of the school.
• ‘Simple living and high thinking’ and dignity of labour will be reflected in the ethos of the school. We believe in legendary Mahatma Gandhiji’s saying that ‘it is the quality of our work that will please God and not the quantity’
• We understand that school vs home ethos will be different and hence we intend to provide group hostel facilities for students from each division to understand co-existence.
• We intend to invite grandfather/grandmother of the children on rotational basis to reside in school hostel for specified time once in a year to nurture family values.
• Birthdays of children will be celebrated once in a month by visiting nearby Ashrams. On such occasions parents will be encouraged to attend the celebrations.

Who will manage the IFF?
The India First Foundation will be managed by leading professionals, academicians, well-known personalities and industrialists drawn from different parts of the country, with rich experiences in administration, teaching, research, and developmental activities.
